'Late' Frederick G.Mendonca

Freddy can be best described as the little man with the big idea. Little, because of his disarmingly simple personality. This is evident in charming turns of phrase that defy conventional language forms but succeed in getting his message across.

Yet, this simple man conceived and put into action an idea that is at once stunningly simple and path breaking. It is Freddy's dream that this miniscule community will someday grow prosperous enough to give back to its roots and to the nation the support provided over the years.

Freddy grew up in a middle class family in Mangalore and moved to Bombay at 16 in 1966. The initial years were tough but he got a much awaited break after many years when he moved to Saudi Arabia. Ten years later, he returned to Bombay (now Mumbai) and plunged into business.

Freddy is a driver of change and has always been drawn to social activities and nurturing people's lives:

In 1998 - he alongwith other ex students, organized a Johnny Lever show in aid of building an English Medium School in place of the vernacular one where he studied.

In 2004 he alongwith like-minded business owner's founded Dimensions, to nurture and support budding entrepreneurs within the Indian Christian community. Freddy as he continues to motivate the community through newsletters. Thus he has been:

  • Founder Editor of "Dimensionally yours" newsletter of Dimensions.
  • Founder Editor of AMCHI KOHOBOR - newsletter of Kanara Catholic association.
  • Founder Chairman of Dimensions - Global Christian Chamber of Commerce.
  • Business Professional Experience:
  • Shipping and Logistics / Import - Export .
  • Was Vice President of CHEMS (Catholic Higher Education And Mentoring Society).
