    Jose Peter is co-founder and CEO of Arogya Finance, a Mumbai based healthcare innovator, providing medical loans to the traditionally un-bankable. A Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of experience in finance &business,Jose has hands-on experience in the banking and financial services industry, its systems & processes, legal & regulatory framework, management of risks & governance mechanisms.


  • Jose is also a co-founder of Index Advisory that has incubated multiple entrepreneurial ventures. He has served on the board of several companies including multinational joint ventures and Tata group companies and has been involved in their finance, strategy, mergers & acquisitions, divestment, capital raising, business restructuring among others.He has served as executive committee member of FIDC (Finance Industries Development Council), an apex organisation for financial service companies. Some of the Companies that he has associated with are Tata Motors Finance, Ion Exchange and Tata Motors.While at the Tata Group, Josehas played a major role in the turnaround and financial restructuring of the erstwhile Tata Finance Limited.
  • Jose has been actively involved in developing a first of its kind world-class risk based pricing model and in using innovative risk assessment tools.
